vadi.agem: the new version near you
The new version of vadi.agem.pt turns the cultural agenda into a local experience: city, radius, filters, list and map to discover events near you.
The new version of vadi.agem.pt no longer starts with the large regional map. It starts with a more useful question: what is happening today near me? The agenda stops being only broadly cultural and becomes a local surface for discovering concerts, festivals, theatre, workshops, family events, sport and outdoor plans around a chosen city.
On the public site, the promise is direct: events near you. The page opens with city, proximity and time. Porto appears in the screenshots, but the logic is national: choose a city, adjust the radius, decide whether you want today, tomorrow, the weekend or the next few days, then switch between list and map depending on what you need.

The entry point becomes local: city, radius, featured events and filters by time and category before the full list.
From catalogue to proximity
The main difference is scale. The previous version presented regions and cities as entry points; this version places the user at the centre. The agenda first answers where you are, or where you want to go, and only then the categories. It is a small change in sentence and a large change in experience.
The filters are more direct too: when, what, city and distance. Music & Night, Culture, Food & Drink, Family, Sport & Outdoors and Fairs & Festivals stop being separate sections and become lenses over the same agenda. That makes navigation less editorial and more practical, while keeping the visual tone of vadiagem.

List and map
The list is for choosing quickly: title, category, city, price and source appear in a compact card. The map is for understanding density and distance. When several events happen in the same place, the point groups that venue agenda; in the screenshot, Casa da Musica opens four events in one panel. This is the part that makes the new version breathe as a local product, not only as a calendar.
Wandering becomes more useful when it knows where the walk begins.

What this version prepares
The base already points toward a living agenda: external sources, event images, prices when available, long date ranges, Portuguese cities and coordinates for proximity. There is still product work ahead — editorial detail, source quality, data states, purchase or booking, favourites and maybe notifications — but the direction is clearer.
vadi.agem.pt becomes less a showcase of places and more a daily question: today, tomorrow or this weekend, what is worth doing near you?
